I have been cross stitching for 25 years and doing primitive embroidery needlework for almost as long.
My very patient Mother taught me to cross stitch and I consider her to be the true artist. We would get together every Saturday for a day of stitching, visiting and usually having a special "treat" Mom had made for us to share. Often times it would be her perfect sugar cookies, her delicious rhubarb pie or raspberries Dad had just picked. I treasure each of those moments we spent together.
So with each tiny stitch I am reminded of the special times Mom and I shared and it is truly a joy. Those stitches are only a part of it though.
