Hi! I am Hope, an urban potter making 100% handmade pots from my home studio.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1997 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My education gave me a very strong foundation for the evolution of my work. I have a diverse compilation of experience in both two- and three-dimensional work, which contributes to my understanding of the process and quality level of many types of art.

I also studied ceramics at Penland School of Craft, tucked deep in the mountains of North Carolina and was an apprentice to John and Jan Myers (MyersArt) in 2004-2005.

I am a mother of 3, a wife, and work full-time as an urban studio potter.

I pride myself in high quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. All my pieces are personally 100% handcrafted from scratch with high-quality fine white stoneware clay. All pieces are one-of-a-kind and some are part of a limited series. Functional items are finished with food safe glazes. Although hand washing will keep pottery strong longer, all my functional pieces are dishwasher, oven, and food safe.
