About

Born and raised in Southern California, Rachel Post began her love of art when she was a young girl. She has been designing and creating for over 30 years. She currently resides in Riverside, California.

Rachel graduated from California State University of Northridge with a Bachelors degree in Photography and a Masters degree in Art Education. She has a fully rounded art background in Art History, Fiber, Pottery, Painting, Drawing, and Jewelry fabrication.

Rachel found creating jewelry as a beautiful process to express her inner soul. She loves to create unique, one of a kind jewelry; mixing different forms of textures and colors. She incorporates Sterling Silver, Gold, natural gemstones, and found objects in her jewelry designs.

Rachel uses traditional metalsmithing techniques to create her jewelry: soldering, sawing, cold connections, and forging. All of her chains, ear wires and posts, head pins, bezels, and clasps are handmade. Each link, ear post and wire are soldered and shaped from solid wire. Attention to detail and quality is very important to Rachel. Her freeform gemstone pendants are exquisite front and back. Each bezel set stone setting is hand cut on the backside so you can also view the stone. She uses nature as the subject matter for her jewelry creations. "Nature is always evolving. Constantly changing and becoming reborn."

Rachel started spinning yarn mid 2005 and absolutely fell in love with it. Rachel wanted to create truely one of a kind yarn for anyone to use in knit, crochet, and weaving creations.

"I strive to create yarns that are top quality. Commercial yarns just lack that special something. I offer yarns that are bright in colors and super soft against the skin. Merino is my absolute favorite fiber to spin and dye with. You should have fun knitting, crocheting, or felting with yarn and that is my main goal to offer yarn that keeps your love of creating fresh and new."

Testimonials:

"I LOVE THIS YARN!

G.B., Van Nuys, CA

"I just had to tell you that every time you post a new yarn, I want it. You have the most gorgeous yarns I have ever seen."
T.W., New York, N.Y.

"i bought some yarn from you thru etsy and it just arrived. i love, love, love it! even my husband - who has no interest in yarn whatsoever - commented on how nice it was. i plan to do some felting with it. i'm looking forward to seeing more of your handspun yarns." J.H., Temecula, CA
