Robin's Profile

About

Hi! My name is Robin and I currently reside in Alexandria, Virginia with my handsome boyfriend and even more handsome french bulldog. I love the thrill of finding a good piece of vintage clothing, and even more so, a great piece of jewelry. My favorite items are 1950's party dresses and filigree rings, among scads of other things.

My shop is named after my late Grandmother, Ms. Beulah Louise Core (pictured) who herself had a great eye for costume jewelry and all things sparkly. I can remember spending countless hours in her jewelry box piling on as many clip on earrings and strands of pearls as my 8 year-old body could sustain, while listening to the record player spin sounds of the 50's and 60's. I used to love listening to her recount exactly where she was when Japan surrendered or when Kennedy was assassinated or all the trouble she used to get into working at the clothing factory while Grandpa was overseas. I may have never personally experienced those great pre-70s decades but her imagery created within me a great appreciation that will never die. I hope I can do her legacy justice.

Of course, my personal experience through the 70s, 80s, and 90s has also greatly molded my love of vintage fashion. And all these things collectively have brought me to where I am today.
