Hello and thanks for stopping by my shop. I'm a retired college professor and the time has come for me to clean out my attic which contains heirlooms from my parents, my grandmothers, aunts, and uncles, and my great-grandparents. Most of these folks lived through the Depression and, as thrifty Yankees, never threw anything away. My father even had a "culch pile"--culch is an accumulation of household things, some of which are treasures and some are of little value. Well, actually, our whole house was a cultch pile. I have fond memories of exploring my grandparents' attics--there was always so much to admire, try on, play with, and wonder about. There is such a sense of history and well lived lives associated with these treasures.
And then, of course, there's all the stuff that I have collected, pack rat that I am. I love old things and I've never passed a yard sale without…
