My husband tells me I have at least a million rocks in the house.

I got my start as a bead addict in the same way many of you probably started: I made a few pieces of jewelry for myself, then a few for my daughters and friends. Before long, co-workers and neighbors began asking me to make things for them. Of course, I had to buy more stones, and then some more and some more.

If there were a 12-step program for bead addicts, I suppose the first step would be to admit that I have a problem. Steps two, three and four would be DESTASH! to the bare walls.......Well, that's not going to happen, but I have agreed to sell the items I have in duplicate.

I have made a plan to enjoy gemstones more responsibly. I will still search for gorgeous stones, I will still buy them, but now I will let most of…
