I am a fifth-generation woodworker. My gggrandfather came to Texas in 1840, specializing in "coach making". The next three generations worked in the lumber industry either in sawmilling or carpentry work on a part-time basis.

After six years of military and 37 years in education, I retired in 2003 and opened a woodworking shop.

I have worked with wood for over 60 years and professionally since 1982. I have exhibited in crafts shows in Texas and have sold my wares through the Sellers Market (a crafts store in Kingsville) for the last 18 years. The store, "Auville's Sweet Nothings", on Everhart and Alameda, in Corpus Christi, TX, added a section for my products in December, 2011. The "Red Baron" in Fredericksburg now exhibits some of my work. My "on line" sales include many states and several countries around the world. The trees that I harvest are ones in town that have recently died or present a danger to homes or street traffic. The logs are transported to the the local mill, where they are cut into planks. The planks are stacked and air dried at my shop until usable and then turned into something that will last more than a lifetime.
