My influences come from my dreams (from childhood to present) as well as my travels and experiences. I’m inspired by Rococo colors and pastels, my work can be described as playful, provocative and magical.
I grew up watching Audrey Hepburn films such as Roman Holiday and Funny Face, which instilled dreams of travel in me at a very early age. The question Artists are always asked is “When and how did you start creating?” As a child, my father had a collection of Hawaiian postcards with women swimming, dancing and posing. He kept them hidden on a shelf in his closet, which I happened to find. I would sneak a peek at the postcards every so often and would do my own interpretation of these women on my chalkboard.
My artistic intentions are not to reinvent the wheel or deliver a philosophical message, I create what I do because…
