At the ripe old age of 7 my grandma taught me how to make a crochet chain, I practiced and practiced she couldn't teach me how to read a pattern because she would just look at a finished project, then sit down and copy it, or do her own designs, my mother taught me how to do different crochet stitches and how to read a pattern, and the rest is history, it is a great stress reliever! Then about 1 1/2 years ago, I made a trip to Southern Illinois to pick up a one eyed, heartworm positive boston with red bumpy skin and very little hair but he had a really good personality! These days, he no longer has a severe case of demodex mange, no longer has heartworm, and he keeps us laughing! Best decision I ever made! However, I did not even think about ever dressing a dog as I always had German Shepherds, labs, dogs with lots of fur! That is the day that I was going to have to embark on a new adventure, sewing, and Rover Rags was born, I have managed to stay very busy clothing the family dogs, but decided that maybe I could sell a few and donate some money to different animal shelters to help pay for heartworm treatment, or vet care for pound puppies.
