I live in an inner city cottage with a lovely secluded back yard where I do all the hand dyeing and drying of the rraps.
The natural fibre materials are sourced locally and are ecofriendly cotton and blends. My unique colours are hand mixed for vibrancy and effect.
I have a strong environmental ethic so I use or offset filtered rainwater to rinse the material, which dries in the bright Australian sun infused with the scent of jasmine or African Magnolia, depending on season.
The rrap dyeing is a deeply satisfying, creative process that is uplifting and joyous for me as well as being incredibly grounding.
It keeps me sane and happy in the modern world.
I always hope that a sense of joy is passed to the wearer - often it seems to be!
