About

So many things in this world fascinate me, but designing and making clothes is the one thing that obsesses me.

My mom started teaching me to sew when I was 4 years old, and somehow it just became a part of my life, a part of me. About 10 years ago I decided to make fashion design my profession and went on to get my degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. A couple years ago, I left NYC and the industry for a brief period to trot around the globe and to look for a fresh perspective on life. I thought that might lead me away from fashion, but *wow*, when I found those amazing silk markets in Southeast Asia, undeniably cool girls in Tokyo, and super fresh styles in Australia, I realized wherever life takes me, design will always be a part of it.

I have bohemian blood but also love the city- balance is the key (in design and life!). I often find myself meditating on textiles, construction, fit, color,, craftsmanship, and proportion... Magically I sometimes see dresses in my sleep that I'll jot down in the morning and then end up being my long lasting favorites. I find an issue of National Geographic infinitely more inspiring than Vogue. Not sure what all this says about me, but there you have it!

Etsy is a place for me to share my love of design. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it!
