About

My Grandma taught me when I was 8 how to sew. In 2001 I learned how to spin my own yarn, and it was after that I taught myself how to knit. I enjoy knitting lace items the most.

My passion for knitting collided with my passion for sewing when I realized that the backpack I used for storing my knitting in was not enough. A raccoon had taken my backpack, opened it and scattered my knitting all over our campsite. I designed a simple, but useful drawstring bag that has become the KIP Bag.

My life is mostly on the go; from traveling to see family to camping in all corners of the USA. The Ruddawg clan, consisting of me, Hubby Dave and Son Alex live on 30 acres out in the middle of nowhere. We enjoy gardening, canning, hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, reading and computers.
