I studied painting and printmaking at the California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland, California, but I've been mad about art since I was a small child. I daresay I was a more dedicated artist at age three than at thirty, but then I suppose I didn't have to worry about rent when I was a toddler!

I returned home to Idaho after graduating in 2005 to work at an art gallery and create jewel-bright woodcuts showcasing the Western outdoors in silhouette, compose bad-dreamy landscape paintings based upon picture jasper and Dante's "Inferno," and canonize seashells that belonged to my late grandmother.

In early 2008, I moved to Portland and completed a series combining white ink drawings of sign gestures with creepy, one-off woodcuts and Richard Adams' "Plague Dogs." In 2009-2010, I created 20 red and black miniature acrylic paintings of Portland, and in the past few years have reproduced 10 of them as letterpress prints. In 2013, at the request of an old college friend and cat lover, I printed the Meow Meow Kitty bookplate design as a greeting card, launching Meanie Greetings, my break-out greeting card and art print line that has sold well enough to allow me to print full-time!
