My interest in collecting started at an early age when my Dad took me to the township dump near our home. Many years ago when you took your household trash to the dump, you were allowed to pick through the piles of junk and take what you wanted. Daddy usually looked for an item (or items) he thought he could repair or a piece of furniture to refinish. We had a lot of interesting things in our garage waiting to be fixed.

As an adult, I started buying and selling things I’d find at auctions, yard and estate sales, flea markets or sometimes by the side of the road. It’s exciting to discover a dirty, discarded item, clean it up and it becomes a treasure.

My oldest daughter has inherited the family gene of being a junker. We enjoy spending time together searching for and finding cool stuff. Lucky for us, we have different tastes in…

Over the years I’ve collected a lot of small pieces and parts that I wasn’t sure what to do with. One day it occurred to me – make jewelry with the pieces and parts. My 2nd Etsy shop was born!
