My name is Sabina and I am a painter and sketcher.
In my shop sabiesabi you can find original oil paintings, acrylic paitings, drawings, prints from my artworks.
I live in the north of Italy with my husband and our son who is 5 years old.
I was born and grew up in a small village in the middle of woods and countryside and when I was little I would spend hours looking outside my windows onto the magnificent green hills and imagine they were populated by small and likeable creatures who lived among the flowers and trees. This is how I started drawing and inventing short stories and poems.
After graduating from the Parma Art Institute, I started working as a painter and also became a specialist restorer of fresco paintings.
I have been lucky to work within ancient castles, churches and abbeys and have restored wonderful frescos painted between the 13th and 19th centuries. When I work with these medieval and renaissance paintings, filled with dames, knights and angels, I build ideas for my own drawings.
Each time I start a picture, I try to recreate the same magical atmosphere and enchanted world which painters from centuries past created on the walls of those historical buildings.
I hope you appreciate my work and decide to choose one!
