Sandra Ferri's Profile

About

My name is Sandra Ferri, I live in Virgilina Virginia. Population 159. Soon to be 160 (the neighbor is expecting)
My soap making began from a trip to the Arkansas Ozarks. When we went to a folk art village we came upon a soap maker. Dressed in time period garb, cooking soap in a traditional cast iron kettle, the process intrigued me. After searching the internet on the soap making process, I made my first batch of soap. That was it, I was HOOKED! Batch after batch, I liked making soap. Now that I made enough soap to last a good 10 or 20 years, I gave it away to family and friends. They liked it and thought I should start selling it, so here I am.
I make my soap in small batches using olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil and lye as the main ingredients. I like simple soap made with natural ingredients. Check back often, I will be added more. Thanks for looking
