Sandra Lance's Profile

About

Quite late in life I touched clay in a continuing education class and fell in love with the material, art and chemistry of it. As part of a rather drastic career change, I went off to the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University to study ceramics and receive my BA degree....which I did, with honors in 1996. Then I went into the Masters program at the Univ of Florida in Gainesville, where I received my MFA in 1999. A year later my husband and I moved Vermont, where I have been happier than ever before, working in my studio surrounded by my gardens, friends and the fantastic Green Mountain forests. I am a past Board President of the Vt Crafts Council and was published in "The Best of Pottery, Vol 2", Rockport Publishers, "Animals in Clay", Lark Books 500, and "Plates & Chargers", Lark Books 500, American Art Collector 2012 book..
