Corrine's Profile

About

Hello, I'm Corrine, a wife and a mother of seven children. I'm an island girl (yah mauhn) Growing up back in the island I was considered a tomboy, but I love all things girly.
Now you say, how did you come about sewing fashionable clothing for kids? Well it all started with the birth of my second daughter, number six. I did not grow up seeing grandma sewing or mom. Then came my nieces, I was in heaven! I also started having their clothes custom made (at this time I'm in high school). I wanted to see them all dressed up like those little movie stars I've seen on TV, stars like Shirley Temple. I would save my lunch money and come weekends I'd pick fruits and ackee from our land and sell it to our neighbors. With the money I earned I bought materials to make their oh so cute dresses. I believe that there shouldn't have to be a special occasion to have kids dressed up. See, I was doing this before it was fashionable. Think about it, we beautify our homes, the spaces around us, down to the very vehicle we operate. Why not our kids? They are the most precious, treasured gifts that have been given to us. Dress them just because they are worth it and are priceless. No one is ordinary, let's embrace our uniqueness. Learn more about Lilla Grey in our shop section! :)
