Clif Nelson's Profile
I've been a woodworker for over 20 years, and I've translated that skill into making heirloom gifts that can bring delight to people's everyday lives. My wife, Beth, and I have sold our postage stamp puzzles and pentominoes at craft shows around the US for years. We really enjoy seeing new art and crafts and meeting other artists and crafters.
I source the woods I use from many local suppliers, but I also pick up specialty woods when we travel--the Osage orange wood in some of the pentominoes is from Oklahoma, where Beth's family lives.
I also use some wood that was logged and milled by Beth's father, Ed, who said that whenever he and his wife fought, he'd go out to the wood shop and work on some logs. I guess that's one way to prevent going to bed angry!
Geocaching is another passion of mine, and if I'm not…
