I have been in the world of fabric since 1964 and continue to teach and design. It all started when I was 6 and Santa gave me a Singer Sew Handy ... I made lots of clothes for my Tiny Tears and then later on for Barbie. I have used sewing and quilting as my medium all through high school, college, Motherhood and now I am following my dreams to create from home.
I have done sewing for Detroit bands in the 1960's, costumes for plays, bridal industry, and more .... I think the most unusal item I ever made was a tailored purple burlap suit (fully lined of course) for a lead singer in a popular band in the late 1960's - she is no longer with us now. I have taught many different kinds of classes from beginning sewing, Heirloom sewing, quilting and weaving. I admire art quilts and anything relating to textiles and fiber.
