About

I incorporate everything in my life into my art, the situations I'm in, my emotions, which always turn to the loss of love in some of my work. Some how I interpret experiences into a single image. Then, that image is combined with another. Most of the time the image is something very meaningful; it can be an object to one person, but something sentimental or pleasantly nostalgic for another. My drawings aren't intended to please or evoke a certain feeling in the viewer because I don't believe anyone can understand the deep personal thoughts that are surfacing when I draw. It's a talent that I was born with. My art isn't only filled with deep personal meaning, it's the flow of pencil controlled by the mind and hand, where an object ends up or where a line starts out isn't planned. It all just happens, and from there it only continues. I also see stuff when I close my eyes and concentrate. I don't picture something in my head, but I…

I don't picture something in my head, but I literally see when I close my eyelids. I never know what to expect. It usually happens at night before I sleep. I'll concentrate and within seconds or minutes, I see something and jump up and draw what I see before I lose the visual image. It's never anything specific, but with that I begin to create art.

People ask me, "What is it?", but I can never tell them, nor can I reveal my deepest feelings spilled out over paper. I'll only tell you that it's whatever you want it to be, whatever you see with your own eyes is what it is.

I create art because I get lost in thought, total concentration in the process. Everything around me is not there. Just me, the paper, and pencil. I am one with the pencil.
