I WORK IN A SMOKE FREE PET FREE ENVIRONMENT.

To tell you a little about myself. My husband of 48 years and I are both retired and most grateful for that. We are proud parents of 2 wonderful adult children and 3 grandchildren as well as 2 step grandchildren. We are blessed with wonderful family and are very grateful for them all. We live in a very small town snuggled up in the foot hills of the mother lode. We have actually both been raised here. Never found any place better to live.

Sewing is my passion. I am always sewing so I thought what better name that could fit me is sewingdottie56. I enjoy making many different things. Sometimes it is just one of a kind. I started sewing when I was in the 4th grade. Designing doll cloths for my Teri Lee doll. I started sewing on a children little crank Singer Sewing machine. I designed cloths for all of…

I designed cloths for all of my dolls but Teri Lee was my favorite and I had no patterns so I just created things on my own. I began making all of my cloths through out my school years.

After getting married and started my family I made most all of our cloths, as the children were growing up. I even made my husband a suit. I. I prefer making the more simple things these days, however, I do still make my own cloths and help teach my granddaughter how to sew. She has a natural talent for sewing. I attempted something new this year and created a quilt hanging for my husband. With no knowledge of what I should be doing, I just jumped in with both feet. To my grateful surprise I won a blue ribbon on this very first hanging quilt at our local fair this past August 2011.

Sewing is relaxing for me and being creative is what I enjoy the most. I worked as a doll Dr. for a local doll factory for a few years. I have done oil painting. Owned and operated my own Ceramic shop. I am a certified ceramic teacher. Certified in using the air brush. Now I enjoy sewing more than anything. I designed a pattern for a crochet tuxedo for a doll many years ago. I also knit and crochet and embroider with my embroidery machine. If it is creating I will always give it my best shot. I am now 66 years young, so I have had a lot of practice doing a lot of things.

I will be adding and changing my items from time to time and some times I will make only one of a kind.

Thank you for stopping by to browse in my little shop. Please do come back again and often. you never know what might be popping up. Pull up a chair, grab your cup of coffee and come spend some time with me. I would love to have you.
