Who is Sewing Geek?
IT professional by day, creative maniac at all other times. If you ask my mother, she will say, “She was always doing something; creating, inventing, organizing.” I have an insatiable curiosity and energy level for creative pursuits.
A child of the 60’s and 70s, I had a black light, played guitar and can still sing all the verses of Blowing in the Wind. I grew up in a wonderful Midwestern suburb with amazing parents and was allowed to stretch my creative and intellectual limits as far as I wanted without bending any of those “rules”. My maternal grandmother, we called her Bangie, was an amateur artist. She lived in a mansion that had a wonderful glassed in sun porch where she kept her canvas and oil paints. She traveled around Europe and did watercolor sketches. She always wanted to take me to Europe to paint but…
