Candyce Anderson's Profile

About

My cheery little studio apartment here in San Francisco's Marina District shelters my all precious beads and handmade jewelry. I hardly have room for myself and I work at my kitchen table, but it's a great, joyful pastime of play. Never mind that Candyce Elizabeth US sounds like an overgrown multinational corporation ....

Meanwhile I studied classical music ~ singing (opera, jazz, blues, modern music, choral and standards, sometimes composing my own little songs) and playing piano ~ and supported myself and my music addiction as a legal litigation secretary, medicolegal secretary, and word processing operator. All the while I took classes in acting, ceramics, several different forms of painting and other arts.

Now for the good stuff of my favorite pastime. Ah, all the marvelous shapes and textures. Smooth and silky, bumpy, carved, soft and curving, or sharply angled, or rough. Yummy rich colors. Warm colors, hot colors, cool colors. Shiny, sparkling quartz, gemstones, intricate glass and metal. Clay, porcelain, wood, lampwork glass, and leather cords in many colors. Sometimes spectacular or funny or silly creations.

Remember Uncle Scrooge McDuck from the comics exuberantly diving into his big pool of money, his little duck tail up in the air? Make that a big pool of gorgeous jewels for me, please. Treasure chests full to spilling all over with precious stones, luxurious, glowing gold and silver. Magic, fantasy! Just can't get enough of that stuff.

Now it's time for me to get on with it, so please join me!
