About

I have always loved being creative. I think it started in early high school when I had a real passion for ceramics. After I graduated from Uni and started working, I dabbled in a few different things as time would allow, but it wasn't until my twin boys (yes, they are a handful!) were born that I seriously started contemplating a life outside the corporate world, doing something that I was really passionate about.

Li'l Aussie Shoe Co. Started in 2011 as Pici Papucs (Little Slipper in Hungarian), after I started making my own soft soled shoes for my boys. As my sewing skills improved, I started getting requests from friends, and then started doing markets - and then I discovered Etsy.

Pici Papucs eventually got to the stage where I needed to put more time into it to really make it grow, or consider giving it away for a "real" job. I have to say, it was the easiest decision I ever made! With the commitment made to give my little business a real shot at becoming successful, came the realisation that my initial name, Pici Papucs, while cute and meaningful to me, was actually holding me back. Hence the name change to Li's Aussie Shoe Co, which sends a clearer message about what my little biz is all about, as well declaring to all my love and gratitude to be able to grow up and live in such a wonderful country.

I hope you enjoy my shop. With every pair of shoes I make, comes a commitment to providing the highest quality footwear for your little one. Shoes that are well made and stylish, but most importantly, which provide the healthiest environment for little feet - breathable natural materials, covered internal seams to avoid irritations to sensitive skin, soft soles to give that all important grip and feel for the ground, and plenty of room in the toe area to promote natural movement and growth.

Thanks for visiting!
