I have been designing and making clothes since my first sewing class in the 6th grade. While everyone else made pillows, I made a pair of pants from a pattern I developed myself. This first pair of pants started my love for making clothes. My first job was at the local Goodwill Industries thrift shop. I sorted through clothing, listened to classic records on the shop record player, styled outfits for myself and customers, and fell in love with the character of second hand and vintage clothing.
During High School I focused on visual art, such as painting, printmaking and glass work, while making clothing in my free time. After High School I moved to Portland, Maine were I studied business, specializing in Entrepreneurship.
