I cannot remember a time that I didn't create! I started at an early age drawing, making doll clothes, stuffed animals for bazaars, sewing clothes, pottery, ceramics, sculpting, painting, woodworking, tole painting, quilting, embroidery, stained glass and fused glass. While exploring my Mohawk heritage I learned how to do Iroquois raised (embossed)beadwork, loomed beadwork, and used leather to make moccasins.
I guess my 'melting' experiences first started a long time ago when I used to melt my brothers' old 78's over cans in boiling water to make bowls! (Sorry John and Larry!) Now that I am melting glass, I am excited every time I open the kiln, whether it's a candle shelter, coasters, etc or jewellery!
On a more personal level, I am an avid reader and geocacher, along with my 'geosheltie' . I make my Inukshuks specifically for cache swag…
