About

I'm a stay-at-home mama who loves the Lord, her family, and buzzing around the kitchen. I suppose the kitchen part was somewhat inevitable -- I grew up with a chef in the house, and my great grandpa was a baker by trade. His daughter, my grandmother, must have furthered the effect with her marvelous flair for cooking and entertaining. (She was an amazing grandma, too). Her daughter is my mom, who read up on Adele Davis and other health food pioneers when I was a toddler. I'm so grateful for that loving influence! (My husband considers her homemade spaghetti legendary, too.)

Though I enjoy all sorts of cooking, the kind involving flour is my favorite. The smell of bread baking is a frequent one throughout the house, and my kiddos know what "autolyse" and "proof" means. I love to scour estate sales and the like for unique, well-made, and retro kitchen items. In general, these are the best you can find nowadays! As I discover them, I sprinkle them amongst the things offered in the store, where they eagerly await a new life of service. Actually, if I told you how many items in our kitchen were inherited, found at estate sales, etc., you might laugh. A lot of the photos are taken using our vintage hard rock maple table (an estate sale find) as a backdrop.

Other items spin off the inherited sewing machine in the house (my grandmother's!) I enjoy crafting with care, hoping that whoever takes each item home will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Although relatively new to Etsy as a seller, I do have a very positive and long-standing track record on eBay as "hnsphoto."
