I love all things natural and having to do with nature; natural fibers, botanicals, and organic cosmetics, flowers... but then what woman doesn't love flowers! I'm endeared to handmade items and the process beginning with inspiration, exploring, and creating. When I was growing up my mother and grandmother would make very beautiful Easter and Christmas decoration. I also recall large ornate styrafoam eggs decorated carefully and beautifully with sequens, beads and thin velvet ribbons. By trade I consider myself a stylist. I have a background in visual merchandising. I appreciate art and art history and studied some design at the University. At this point I'm experimenting and allowing my creative nature to explore and try new things. My personal history reflects my indoctrination into, and my love for, fine craftsmanship. My grandmother was a wonderful seamstress. My grandfather had his own stained-glass window studio/business and built beautiful stained glass windows for churches. My mother was an antique dealer and collected beautiful antiques ~ I must have inheritated from them my love of beauty, the intrinsic value and history of things from the past, as well as my love of creating and sustaining a beautiful environment.
