About

The most difficult thing about art is explaining it verbally. Writing a bio is my least favorite part. I'm inspired by everything, subject to my moods and constantly challenge myself to reach new heights of expression and technique. I defy category and "style". If there is an infinite number of things to see, then there are an infinite number of ways to record them.

I'm a self taught artist that began at (according to my father) the age of two as a muralist, using "found" materials. I began selling my art at the age of fifteen. Ever since discovering I could actually make this a job, art has kept me from living anything near a normal life. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I'm a self taught artist that began at (according to my father) the age of two as a muralist, using "found" materials. I began selling my art at the age of fifteen. Ever since discovering I could actually make this a job, art has kept me from living anything near a normal life. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

My styles range from abstract to realist to illustrative. The unifying factors are color, clean lines and contained spaces. I borrow from mythology, philosophy, music, quantum theory and all things internal. Critics have told me to loosen up. I don't want to. Somewhere, I have to have control and my creativity is it.

I'm also an award winning member and as of May 2009 a juried artist of EBSQART, an online site for self-representing artists. You can see my full portfolio, there.

I've had lots of shows, won a few awards and my work can be found in private collections across the country. Accolades are nice and I'm proud of them, but I prefer to let the work speak for itself.
