I've loved drawing and crafting for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, my favorite Christmas present was getting a brand new set of pencil crayons. Some of my most cherished childhood memories were spending time with my Grandma, creating things from scrap pieces of material and lining up my stuffed animals so that I could draw and colour them. My love for drawing and crafting hasn't wavered over the years. In fact, I crave it. There's no feeling, for me, quite like being able to see my ideas transform into a finished product.

In university, I had a tendency to doodle during my classes; believe it or not, it helped me to focus on my professors' lectures. It was then that Emilio, the Duck was born.

He was my first googly-eyed Shmoolies cartoon. From there, over the years. I added forty-four new characters to my Shmoolies line.

It had always been my wish that somehow I could share my cartoons with others, in hopes that they would make people smile as much as they make me. That's when I decided to turn my characters into Shmoolies Magnetic Bookmarks. Shmoolies Itty Bitty Greeting Cards became my latest addition to my Shmoolies product line.

Although drawing is one of my passions, animals is my other passion, especially dogs. I don't think I can begin to explain to you how much I love them. They are loyal and kind and full of unconditional love. I feel so blessed that I have the sweetest bulldog named Punchinelly that I get to love on. She is twelve years old and she has the most gentle heart. I've even created a Shmoolies cartoon of her.

The thought that there are animals out there that endure unimaginable suffering breaks my heart. By opening up my Etsy shop, I hope to raise awareness and financial support for a wonderful non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates dogs who are abused, abandoned and/or neglected. It is called Angel's Animal Rescue and you can find out more about them by visiting their website at www.angelsanimalrescue.ca. I pledge to give ten percent of all my sales to them. Hopefully you'll be inspired to participate in my goal to help rescue suffering dogs with your purchase of one of my Shmoolies products. Thank you, in advance, for your support.
