About

I have always been very creative; making cards, drawing and colouring as a child and I have been making beaded jewellery for some years now. I grew up in Nottingham, but moved with my family to the Isle of Wight when I was 12. I then went to study Psychology at the University of Portsmouth, I met my husband there and we have been living in Portsmouth ever since – I love it! There is never a quiet weekend, always something to do somewhere to go and someone to see. Despite this I do try and find time to make things. As well as making jewellery, I enjoy other crafts such as sewing, card making and anything else I fancy! I love to read and make cakes, I enjoy the sunshine and spending time with my husband and friends.

Jewellery making all began in 2001 when, for my Alevel project, I made the wedding jewellery for someone who worked at school. I consulted frequently with the bride to be and I designed necklace and earrings for the bridesmaids as well as a tiara, earrings, necklace and bracelet for the bride. She was very pleased with everything.

The main materials I use are beads; any colour, any size any shape! I enjoy the freedom of using beads and putting together something individual and unique. I enjoy making items to give as gifts, they are always such a personal thing when you give them to someone.

I work full time at the moment so the only time I have to create is evenings and weekends, but I do try to note down all my ideas when I have them, anytime of day. My overall aim is to be able to make more and more items of jewellery and crafts from home, I will be starting my teacher training in September so once I am a teacher, I may have more time to put into my business. For now, I enjoy my crafts and if I can make items that other people want, then all the better.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you
