Welcome to Pathway Bags! After serving in the US Navy Supply Corps for over 33 years I decided a huge change of pace was in order. As luck would have it I happened to be talking with some military women deployed overseas, wearing camouflage uniforms, as I had done for years. The one thing they all mentioned that they missed was having a handbag that looked appropriate while wearing their cammies. They felt the traditional black purses just didn’t hit the right note – and I agreed. I never liked using them either! As I was raised by a mom who was a seamstress and tailor and can’t remember a time I didn’t sew, it got me thinking I might be able to create something more to their liking. Hence, the camouflage bags you see here.

When civilians saw the bags, they asked if I ever made bags out of other materials – well, why not! I gave it a go and am thoroughly enjoying the creative aspect of making totally unique bags of all sorts. Aside from the cammie bags, no two bags are alike. I use whatever fabric and accessories that call out to me, including many that are “repurposed”, in my efforts to be green whenever I can.

Take a look around the shop and hopefully you’ll see something that strikes your fancy, as I make bags that certainly strike mine. Come back often, as the assortment will be ever changing.
