Saad Mirza's Profile
My name is Saad Mirza. I grew up in London, Graduated Trinity College, Cambridge in Math and Physics. But I am a collector of rare rugs and ancient rare coins. My father was a World renowned Numismatician of Roman, Indo-Greek, Kushan, Bactirian, Sasanian, Islamic and Mughal coins who often took me to Sotheby's and Christie's Auctions just to make me fall in love with antiques, but I don't think he meant for it to happen. Even though I run a full time Framing Crew in Greater Kansas City Area. I like to keep in touch with collecting. I can weave Oriental Rugs including Kazak and Turkomen. But I am a collector of rare Antique Rugs, Hereke with Gold Wire, Kashan, Isfahan Qum, and Tabriz are my favorites. I keep the rare or the ones that show history (like once belonged to a lord or a lady) and sell others at Auctions.
, Tapestry work is something I enjoy as well since it is much less complex than rug weaving and takes less material…
