I started messing around with beads when I was in 6th grade or so, basically just stringing beads in wacky 90's style patterns. I would slowly lose interest over a few months, then come back to it, once every year or two. Every time I was drawn back into beading, I was attracted to more intricate designs.
Over a lot of time and a ton of trial and error, I've learned some really tedious designs. Through my self-teaching of bead-work, I learned a lot about the history and origin of certain beads, techniques, and designs.
