About

Hello! My name is Emily and I'm a (largely) self taught jewellery designer/silversmith from somewhere near the centre of England. I have a penchant for whiling away the hours in my little studio, creating all sorts of dainty adornments using only the best materials. I also own another Etsy shop selling gemstones and pearls www.etsy.com/shop/rosegemstones

I live very close to Birmingham's world renowned jewellery quarter and buy all of my precious metals from local gold refineries situated in the quarter, most of the gold and silver is recycled. In addition to silversmithing, I have 5 years experience as a gemstone buyer & dealer and devote a great deal of time to scouring the world for unusual & beautiful natural gemstones and pearls. You can find my little gemstone shop here www.etsy.com/shop/rosegemstones . I also have a great appreciation for science, particularly Biology and Medicine, having spent the past few years working for the NHS in a pathology laboratory in a busy local hospital. I learned a great deal and enjoyed my work immensely but I have now decided to take the plunge and devote my time to jewellery design and gemstone collecting and hope to embark on a course in Gemology in the near future.
