About

My name is Jonathan Simons and my work has been sold across the nation and Europe since 1991. I don't make thousands of any item, they are either limited edition or one of a kind.

I find my inspiration from nature, history, and the eyes of people in love. Right now I'm exploring the natural shapes of leaves. I'm not trying to make them exact copies of real leaves but more of an innocent or naive impression of them. Sometimes the shape infer some other meaning like a heart or a hand or a flower. They are timeless and they resonate with our eternal consciousness.

I love doing projects that help benefit others by raising money for worthy causes. Currently I have some designs that I make for Connor's Heroes which is a local non-profit that helps cancer patients and their families. 100% of the profit goes to them…

I have been pioneering the conversation in our craft about the ethics of mining and labor abuse for many years. Back before it was popular and well known, I had researched the processes and methods that were used to mine and produce jewelry and found them lacking in the “Golden Rule”…treating others as you would have them treat you.

It has not made me popular within my trade but I can sleep at night knowing I have done my part to move it towards an eco-friendly direction.

When I started my own business, I promised to sell only gems and diamonds that were free from slave labor practices and unsound mining practices. I would also eliminate the nasty and toxic chemicals, prevalent in our trade for taking shortcuts in finishing. I developed my own processes over the years and am completely cyanide free.

I do all of the creating here in the U.S. using eco-friendly techniques and will never use overseas slave labor or blood diamonds. I believe that we are all connected on this beautiful blue marble we call earth and I think treating each other with dignity and respect is the only path to having this be a world we all want our children to inherit.
