Anne-Marie's Profile

About

As far as I can remember I have enjoyed making "things":sewing, knitting, embroidering, taking pictures and obviously designing jewelry.
I love colours and shapes, feeling and smelling materials.

Manual work was a wonderful alternative to teaching and even a therapy.

I became a jewelry designer about 15 years ago . It was a gradual involvement with crystals..I had a crash course in silversmithing which I found fascinating.

Before opening this shop I used to store my creations in different boxes.
On special occasions I would give them out as presents and people were delighted.
Many of my presents are worn around the world, where I happen to have friends or relatives. I was constantly asked why I did not put them out for sale.

On special occasions I would give them out as presents and people were delighted.
Many of my presents are worn around the world, where I happen to have friends or relatives. I was constantly asked why I did not put them out for sale.
My answer was always the same: I am too busy creating new ones!
.
Being a perfectionist makes me change directions until I get the result I want.
At present my gems fill up many boxes which I take out of the cupboards each time I feel "inspired". The rush of creativity makes my heart beat quickly in anticipation.

I work on my own from the beginning to the end. Therefore all my creations are one-of-a-kind..
Once in London, I was in the famous department store" LIBERTY's.just browsing around. A very elegant lady ,visibly a regular customer, admired the chunky red coral necklace I was wearing. When I answered that I made it she said "Such a fabulous jewel should be available at Liberty's!"
The person in charge of the jewelery department asked how many pieces of it I could produce......As I only do unique pieces, my colaboration with them never went further.

The last but not the least is my fascination with the Asia. I love their jewelry and have many albums of people living up in the Hymalayas adorned with lots of jewels.
I do hope to visit one day that part of the world.
As far as the shipping fees are concerned, I opted for a unique flat rate. The jewel is sent in a gift box and carefully packed . As soon as it is mailed I the tracking number is sent to the buyer.
