About
I live in England although I am Scottish. I came here for a two week holiday when I was 18 and never left.

I am a full time Jewellery Designer and Lampworker/Glass Artist. I also have an all consuming passion for Venetian Murano glass which I am licensed to sell.

I am lucky enough to have a studio in my garden where I make my Lampwork beads. I am self taught and am a member of SRAJD (Self-Representing Artists and Jewellery Designers) Member no 0686.

All my photographs are taken in natural daylight, I do not use a lightbox or enhance or edit my photographs in any way whatsoever.

About Venetian Murano glass beads -

Like any individually handmade items, Venetian Murano glass beads are not always 100% aesthetically perfect, they have many little quirks and characteristics and sometimes this makes them even more beautiful, it guarantees that no one else will ever have exactly the same item as you.

Some beads may have tiny air bubbles inside, sometimes this is done deliberately to create a "bubble" or "fizz" effect and sometimes it is just the way the glass reacts in the flame. The beads may not always have a totally smooth surface, or a 100% perfect shape, ie, sometimes the bead holes can be a little rough, this is because each bead is made by hand from start to finish and therefore there are no machines to smooth out the edges.

This all just adds to the uniqueness and character of each bead. These are not faults, simply characteristics of individually handmade Venetian Murano glass beads.

** I ship within 24 hours of payment **

*** I am sorry but I no loger ship to Brazil ***

I ship all my packages to the US, Royal Mail First Class Airmail. There is no tracking number for packages sent this way, but I have not lost a package yet. I do obtain a proof of postage for each package. I can offer an expedited service, this usually costs between $8.00 and $12.00 more. I charge only what the post office charge me to send it - no other costs.

Most packages in 3-10 working days, sometimes it can take a little longer if the security checks in your country are more stringent at any given time, or they may be held up in customs.

For hygiene reason I do not accept the return of earrings unless damaged in transit (which has never happened as I pack very carefully)

I have my own website which stocks over 800 items, again specialising in Murano glass and stocking Murano glass rings, bangle's, hair barrettes and so on and so on....

If you require something not listed then please get in touch. I have, quite literally hundreds of Venetian Murano glass beads I have yet to use. Perhaps you see something you like but wonder if I have the bead in a different colour/shape/size, if so, please just ask.

Every Lampwork glass bead I use is an individually handcrafted bead made from the finest Moretti/Effetre (Italian) glass. All beads are properly cleaned and kiln annealed overnight in a digitally controlled kiln for lasting strength and durability. With proper care they should last a lifetime.

** Please note - I do not accept e-cheques, any payments made this way will be refunded **

I ship all orders within 24 hours of payment (excluding Sundays) Orders to Europe typically arrive within 2-6 days. To the US, South America, Canada & Australia within 3-10 working days.

** Please note that you are responsible for any custom charges in your own country **

All items come gift boxed.

I stand behind my products 100% and guarantee everything I make.

Murano glass refers to glass items made on the island of Murano. No one else can rightfully or truthfully claim a glass bead they have made themselves is a Murano and/or Venetian glass bead.

Moretti glass also known as Effetre glass is Italian glass. It is used by many Lampworkers, including myself, but again, it is not Murano glass.

Not all Millefiori glass is Italian either, in fact it is one of the most copied types of glass bead. A huge percentage of Millefiori beads for sale are either Indian or Chinese Millefiori glass.
