Melissa's Profile

About

My name is Melissa, and I am the owner, designer, creator, and chief llama wrangler of SnarkyLlama Creations, aka SlapYourLlama. My past customers agree that my work is “So good you’ll want to slap your llama!” (But you probably shouldn’t – they tend to spit.)

I love making stitchmarkers, needle keepers, decals, and other fun items that both help other fiber artists with their craft and allow them to proclaim their love of all things yarny to the world.

One of my passions is helping yarn shops, fellow etsy sellers, and other businesses with their branding. I’ve done custom stitchmarkers and decals for many shops including Paradise Fibers in Spokane, WA, Quilt Divas in Rockland, ME, Roxy’s Yarns in Tampa, FL, The Southern Needle in Ridgeland, MS, and more! Please get in touch with me if you’d like to work together to create custom stitchmarkers or decals for your shop or business.

I’ve been married for 22 years (and counting!) to my best friend and cohort in twisted humor. We recently sent our only child off to college and became empty-nesters. While it’s strange not to be a full-time parent now, I’m learning to use the time to build my business and, of course, knit.
