Diane Patmos' Profile

About

I studied painting in school, but eventually fell back into my childhood obsession: sewing. I approach each quilt as though I were painting, adjusting my decisions about colors, pattern and composition as I go. I finish the quilts by hand with thick embroidery floss, allowing the bold contrasting stitches to add another dimension to the design. Like a painting, each piece is unique and tells its own story.
