I have been blowing glass for 9 years. I received my BFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia in 2005. After graduating, I began teaching at Penn State University in the Materials Science and Engineering Department. The classes I taught involved the blending of glass science and glass art through labs, lectures and studio work. I learned a lot about the material properties of glass which renewed my fascination with it and gave me a better understanding of how to work with this unique material. I even learned how to make glass batch compositions and colors.
After two years at Penn State, I relocated to New Orleans and began teaching at Glass Works. I currently also teach glassblowing at a non profit studio called YAYA Creative Glass. I am continuing to develop a line of functional ware and lighting including table lamps, pendants and chandeliers. My work is currently available for purchase…
