Which witch is which?
==================================================
I'm not your average new-age witch. I don't dance nekkid in the forest on Hallowe'en (too cold on the toes, not to mention other parts), I don't burn incense (athsma) and I don't ride on a broomstick (minivan is easier to explain at PTA meetings.) I DO have lots of pets about - rabbits, budgies, degus (google it, they're ridiculously sweet and cute!)

I have a passion for my history - both ancient and recent. I play the bagpipes, I love Celtic and maritime music, and I've even been known to eat some haggis, when required. I honour my family's military history as a member of the Canadian Forces Cadet Instructor Cadre. I love my son, and I like the…

Why wax, witch?
==================================================
I could spin you a yarn about being inspired by the Goddess to create these candles, but the truth is, as a starving student and stay-at-home-most-of-the-time mom, quite frankly, I need the money. :D Years ago, I purchased a similar candle at a piping competition and just loved it. The candle, I mean.. I never was too good at competing! I never did see the seller after that one event, and one evening I thought to myself, heck, I could probably make those...so I tried, and it turns out that I can. Now that I think about it, I guess I was inspired by the Goddess after all!

The first attempts were rough. I used purchased pillar candles and carved each design by hand. Now I pour all the candles myself, carve a prototype and then cast a rubber mold of it. Nowadays, my product line has grown considerably beyond what I first imagined and I'm getting new ideas and suggestions from loyal customers all the time.

And why soy wax? Well, to be honest I didn't know anything about it at first. I just wanted a nice white background for my candles. But as it turns out, soy is cheaper than paraffin right now.. Plus, it's cleaner burning and lasts a lot longer than regular wax. You and I both benefit!

Where, Witch?
==================================================
I live in Calgary Alberta Canada with my son Ciarann and my menagerie - bunny Clover, cockatiel Dorothy, budgie Navar, and degus Jenny and Yoshi.

I'd love to talk to you!
