I am an American artist/stay at home mother of two beautiful boys living in the Netherlands.
I worked as a glass and metal enamel artist for over 10 years but after making a transatlantic move sans my kiln in 2001, began traditional Japanese bookbinding. Solobooks was successful both on line and off, but after 6 years I wanted to try something new.
In September of 2008 I quit my day job to care full time for our first son at home and began designing and sewing items I would love to use myself, give as a gift, or something for my children. Over the last few years my interest in handwork has grown stronger, so the transition from less machine to more hand stitching and beadwork felt completely natural; somewhat of a return to my roots as an enamelist/bookbinder.
