Jena's Profile

About

Art to me is a way of working in the comfort of my own home. My education was done at Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California where student government and NPR radio (which is located on the campus) enveloped me. Then I skipped over to UCLA for 2 quarters, and finally ended up a few years later in Anchorage, Alaska where I finished in a Bachelors in Arts in American History.

I am permanently disabled and had a spinal cord injury in 1993 due to a long fall. My sewing is done with my hands only.

I keep my condominium clean and have a housekeeper/caregiver. It is an non-smoking home.

My signature are quilts and other craft projects. My mother is a nationally known long-arm quilt teacher and travels.
