Lynn is formally trained, having 4 years of academic art and drama in her dossier. She has been drawing and working in fiber arts for years, having enjoyed a years training under renowned Canadian sculptor Gordon Hauser. Her mother taught her to sew at an early age and she has, over the years learned to knit, crochet, quilt, spin wool into yarn, and many many other fiber arts. She has become an accomplished painter of landscape using acrylics. Her latest branch of fiber interest has taken her into the world of needle felting. Her inspiration more often than not, comes from nature and the things that surround us. The beginning of life to decay and the textures, colors and forms found within these phases of being drive her passion. Her working career is now finished so she has thrown herself into her art, full time and is striving to make a successful living.
They live in a rural area of Central Nova Scotia with their adorable dog, Daisy. It's farm country and the sounds and smells of the countryside are unequaled for peace, inspiration and concentration.
