The squids are reclusive creatures, driven by instinct to collect, attach, detach, heat and pound objects. They can sometimes be spotted with Pollyfusia under the House of the Rising Squid banner at craft fairs and art-glass shows in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm Su, the big squid. I work full time at a semi-creative computer job (the next cubicle over from Pollyfusia), and obsessively make glass pendants at lunch, in the evenings and on weekends. Glass is amazing!

I make my own transfers using a process I learned about on warmglass.com (a great site for glass info). My stuff is quirky, silly and/or dark, and I'm inspired by the natural world, sci-fi, and scientific and historic illustration. I've been fusing glass for about eight years.

I share a funky 1910 bungalow (set in sycamores and elms) with Che, an artist who runs The Hokey Pokey and Ovinia shops on Etsy. We have six attractive dogs, and one with an excellent personality.
