I took up metal detecting just two years ago in the beautiful and historic county of Warwickshire with some success in terms of historic finds. It really got me thinking about items that were incomplete, or once part of an item of jewellery or larger item. These finds are not generally saleable in their own right, unless they are re-used in the making of other new items such as bespoke jewellery or sculpture, it seemed such a pity to have these things just lying around as curios. Then it came to me, having noticed such a wealth of creative talent here on Etsy, and the inspirational items that you folk create, that these small items that have a long and varied history may have a useful function after all.....and so, here I am ! All items listed are found and researched by myself personally unless otherwise stated.......
