About

A while back my husband and I set out to redecorate our house on a budget. We didn't want the usual fake wood stuff and wal-mart specials that our budget could handle. We wanted unusual things. Things that made our house special and comfortable while still giving it a style that was uniquely ours.

We started looking in different places, places we hadn't looked before such as Antique stores and malls, estate sales, yard sales and thrift shops. This opened a whole new world to me, the world of treasure hunting. Something I fell in love with right away. Along the way I acquired a lot of vintage jewelry in addition to all our wonderful and unique furniture, antique glass and other beautiful things. Well to make a long story short, I loved my new found hobby a little too much for our small house, so came a booth at an antique mall, a little ebay selling and this shop on Etsy…

Please look around and enjoy a bit of treasure hunting for yourself.

Also, for many years I have been an avid collector of Sarah Coventry jewelry. I loved the fact that Sarah pieces were so well made, yet priced so well that most anyone could afford to be feminine and stylish while wearing these beautiful pieces. Too me, Sarah Coventry just says 50's and 60's America. An innocent time when ladies dressed up just to go to the grocery store. Unfortunately, like everything else I like collecting, my Sarah Coventry collection has gotten out of hand, so I find that I must downsize it some. If there is a specific piece you are looking for and don't see it already listed, please let me know and if available, I will list if for you. Thanks for taking the time to look around my shop.

Also, if you are into crafting and scrapbooking please take the time to look around in my other store at www.etsy.com/shop/mimmiescraftcloset. Thanks
