Hello My name is Mark Haglund. I started creating in 1965. That is when I got my first guitar. I still play. In 1998 I discovered oil painting and I was hooked. I painted in oils for 14 years, but as time went on I discovered I wanted to work more intimately with the material. My hands needed to touch the materials. I decided metal was the way to go.
So, in 2012 I started making plans to create jewelry. I have a background in metal fabrication, welding, metal finishing, and precious metals, I was in the metal fabrication industry for 38 years. I fabricated, welded, and polished many industrial items. So I decided it was time to use those skills and knowledge to create jewelry.
Haglund's Jewelry was started. I switch this shop from paintings to jewelry. I have a blast creating simple but finely made jewelry. I pay attention to the small details. Simple forms, comfortable fit, and great customer service is my focus.
I embrace the spiritual side of creating. God has shown me a simple quiet truth about nature, people, and the universe that I try to convey in all my work. Following this truth has led me down a path to a more simple and organic approach to creating.
My jewelry reflects a minimalist and rustic design.
I hope I will have the chance to create something for you.
